The 2011 Canterbury seismic upheaval shook the foundations of buildings and unearthed a deep-seated passion for creative writing within me. Since then, storytelling has become not just a job but a source of immense joy and fulfilment.
In 2014, I attended the Hagley Writers' Institute in Christchurch and honed my craft surrounded by like-minded individuals who shared my love of story. I enjoy Christchurch's vibrant writing community. Guided by the insightful feedback of my peers in a wonderfully supportive writing critique group, I continue to refine my skills, constantly striving to push the boundaries of my creativity. As a proud member of the New Zealand Society of Authors and the Romance Writers of New Zealand, I remain connected to the broader writing community. I have written a nonfiction book about dyslexia, 'Dyslexia: Wrestling with an Octopus,' and am working on a historical trilogy set in Ancient Egypt. Please check out the publications tab on this site for my other writing successes. Burying my creativity is no longer an option for me. I cherish the gift of storytelling revealed by those earthquakes. |
